The Vacation Center Terms and Conditions
Vacation packages can be cancelled and/or changed, however, you will have to pay a cancellation/change penalty.
The amount of the cancellation/change penalty depends on when you cancel/change your package.
Prices:
Prices are subject to change without notice unless paid in full. Please note that some hotels charge for parking and/or a resort fee which is not included in the price. You must be at least 21 years of age or over to rent a vehicle. If you are between the ages of 21-24 a surcharge of $25.00 per day will be charged at the time of pick-up. This is not included in your price. All prices are in US Dollars.
Forms of Payment:
Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, Debit Card, cashier's check, cash, money order, or personal check (personal check must be received at least 10 days before departure date to allow time for clearance). Please note: $50 fee will be imposed on returned checks and changes to forms of payment after payment is applied. Multiple charges to credit card(s) may occur, however amount charged will not exceed total package price reflected on Client Confirmation.
Final Payment:
Final payment is due 60 days before departure. For booking made less than 60 days before departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.
Change Policy:
You may make changes to your booking. However, each change will result in a $150 processing fee per person, plus any additional processing fees imposed by our travel suppliers. Travel packages are non-refundable for travel dates between Dec 15 - Jan 7. No changes are allowed for travel dates between Dec 15 - Jan 7. Changes are allowed 30 or more days prior to travel date if not traveling during Dec 15 - Jan 7, based on availability and price, but may be subject to additional fees. No changes are permitted within 45 days of departure. Unused trip components will not be refunded. Name changes to airline contacts are allowed (when possible) 45 or more days prior to travel and will result in a $250 per person processing fee, in addition to any penalties imposed by our travel suppliers and or airline.
Cancellation Policy:
Please be advised that cancellations 45 days or more prior to departure incur a penalty of $150 per person.
Cancellations within 30-44 days of departure incur a penalty of $200 per person.
Cancellations within 20-29 days of departure incur a penalty of $250 per person.
Cancellations within 8-19 days of departure incur a penalty of $300 per person.
Cancellations within 7 days of departure, the travel package is non-refundable.
In addition to The Vacation Center policy, all fees and/or penalties imposed by travel suppliers for air, hotel, ground, and other service cancellations will be assessed. All fees and cancellation charges will be deducted from any amounts to be refunded. If travel documents have been issued, no refunds will be processed until all tickets and vouchers have been returned at the expense of the participant.
Documents:
Documents will be delivered 1 to 2 weeks prior to travel.
Special Requests:
All requests for special bedding, location within a hotel, smoking/non-smoking rooms, etc., or regarding physical conditions that require special attention must be advised to The Vacation Center when the reservation is made, and will be communicated to the vendors. Requests will be subject to availability at the check-in and cannot be confirmed prior to departure.
Not Included:
Porterage, gratuities, meals (except where otherwise noted), telephone calls, and any other items of personal nature.
Airlines:
The airlines reserve the right to make changes to equipment, schedules, carriers and pre-assigned seats at any time. The Vacation Center cannot be responsible for airline flight schedule changes or cancellations. Advance seat assignments are issued by the airline and are subject to change at check-in.
Your vacation package includes discounted Non-Refundable Airline Tickets.
Hotels:
Some hotels request that we wait to submit guest names until 7 days prior to check in. In such a case, your hotel room is reserved, but your name is not yet on file with the hotel.
Traveling With Minors:
When a minor child (under 18) is traveling (especially to Mexico) without both parents, foreign governments require a special notarized form upon entry into their country. If both birth parents are alive, and one or both of them will NOT be traveling with minor children, the non-traveling parent must complete a form giving a notarized affidavit of consent to the person traveling with the child(ren) their authorization to take them in and out of the country. Or To allow the minor child to travel on their own with no guardian.
Safety:
Please be aware that during your participation in vacations arranged by The Vacation Center, inc. certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling in undeveloped areas; travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of transportation; the forces of nature; political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. The Vacation Center will not have liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood that The Vacation Center will use its best efforts to ensure that adequate measures are taken.

- Hotel energy surcharge, baggage handling, gratuities, crib, and rollaway costs are payable directly to hotel.
- Car rates may vary with age and do not include state/local tax, gas, Collision Damage Waiver and airport fees which are payable directly to car company.
- Customers who purchase an Economy ticket will be charged the following baggage fees:
- For travel within the United States including Hawaii as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands: $25 fee, per direction for the first checked bag. Also, a $35 fee, per direction will apply for a second checked bag.
- For travel from the U.S. to Mexico and the Caribbean Islands (excluding Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands): $30 fee, per direction for the second checked bag.
- For travel from the U.S. to Europe: $50 fee, per direction for the second checked bag.
- Free checked bags may be allowed based on Mileage Plus status and/or the type of ticket purchased.

- Canada: $8.90 per person
- Costa Rica: $2.38 per person security charge
- Costa Rica: $26.00 per person airport departure tax
- Dominican Republic: $11.00 per person tourist card charge

- ** Definition of Fees and Taxes:

- Passenger Facility Charge (PFC)
- The PFC is a means of providing airports with revenue to be used in the financing of airport improvements without taxing local citizens. The amount of a PFC varies by airport. However, a passenger cannot be charged more than $18 for a round trip airline ticket.
- Domestic Segment Fee
- A US Government imposed per passenger fee used to finance federal aviation programs. Fee assessed on arrivals, departures and each take off regardless of passenger deplaning. Segment fees are $3.20 per segment per passenger for domestic air travel.
- September 11th Security Fee
- A US Government fee used to offset costs of providing federal aviation security services. Assessed per passenger per enplanement. September 11th Security Fee is up to $10 per person.
- Fuel Surcharges
- Fuel surcharge assessed due to increases in the price of jet fuel. Any fuel cost will be reflected in the vacation price.
- International Taxes
- Individuals booked on International Air-Inclusive vacations are required to pay various taxes. As a courtesy to our passengers we collect and prepay most of these taxes. Depending on the passengers' destination only the applicable taxes will be assessed.
Visas & Passports:
You are responsible for obtaining and payment for all visas and entry documents prior to travel, and for meeting all health and other requirements and any documents required by laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries to be visited. Non-U.S. citizens must consult with appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed and are responsible for obtaining all visas and entry documents independently. All passengers traveling internationally are required to have a passport. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of six blank pages in your passport when traveling as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. You will need to check with your consulate to verify all requirements.

After purchase, a confirmation will be emailed within 3 business days. This confirmation constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read, and agree to, the terms and conditions of use presented herein. This confirmation contains the entire agreement between the parties and supercedes any and all prior confirmations or understandings between the parties on all subjects in any way related to the transaction or occurrence described in this confirmation. No oral understandings, statements, promises or inducements contrary to or inconsistent with the terms of this confirmation exist. This confirmation is not subject to any modification, waiver, or addition that is made orally. This confirmation is subject to modification, waiver or addition only by means of a new confirmation that will be emailed to the Client within 3 business days of any agreed upon charge.
The Vacation Center does not warrant the contents of this site as to accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. All warranties thereof, either express or implied, are disclaimed. In no event shall The Vacation Center be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim or any special, punitive or consequential damages of any kind arising from use of this site, even if The Vacation Center has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In the event that your state does not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, the above exclusions may not apply to you.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Colorado, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Denver, Colorado, in all contingencies and disputes arising from your use of this site.
The Vacation Center reserves the right to change any aspect of this site, or to modify, add, or cancel any of these terms and conditions. You agree to abide by whatever terms and conditions are in effect at the time of your use.
The Vacation Center reserves the right to restrict or terminate your access to this site if, in its sole discretion, The Vacation Center believes user conduct violates any applicable law or is harmful to The Vacation Center or to any third party provider.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable, such provision shall still be enforced to the fullest extent of applicable law and shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions.
The foregoing terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between the user and The Vacation Center.
Responsibility & Limitation of Liability:
The Vacation Center is a company organizing travel and vacation packages only. We do not control or operate any airline, hotel, transportation, or tour companies. We carefully select the services included in your vacation package but cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, loss or damage which is caused by the acts or omissions of the vendors. Participation in the tour, any activity or service suggested, is entirely at the passenger's risk. By booking with The Vacation Center, you acknowledge that in any event The Vacation Center will not be liable for any consequential damages and the extent of The Vacation Center's liability shall never exceed the amount you actually paid to The Vacation Center. The Vacation Center reserves the right to cancel or alter any vacation package itinerary as may be found necessary for the proper handling of said vacation package.
Privacy
At The Vacation Center, we are committed to protecting your privacy, and you can be assured we will not violate your trust. We will use information only to help better serve our customers with vacation enhancements, pricing and site improvements to make your travel experience more enjoyable.
We will only ask for a major credit card number when processing your pre-approved vacation package. Other basic customer information will be requested as needed to assure quality service and proper ticketing procedures.
Our promotions and contests, at time, may require your email, name, address and phone to meet legal rules standards and to allow us certainty in notifying winners with accuracy. In the future, we may begin to offer our customers vacations packages and other offers that are similar to past preferences in order to help provide you with areas of interest for travel plans. We would like to offer our customers incentives via email direct, to participate in online surveys from time-to-time, again in order to allow us the opportunity to better serve you and present quality vacation travel packages.
We protect your information through a series of server and firewall installations with the strictest of security measures.
Traveling outside of United States will require a valid Passport.
